InjunSteve 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2005 ok, apparently i changed my password. usually i use a rotation of about 4 passwords on sites that requite me to login.i exceeded my bandwith by my suprise quite fast last period, so i hadn't logged into the control panel in some time. the password was saved, but my firefox browser crashed and i lost all bookmarks and cookies. at first when i tried to log into my cpanel i tried the password pmmed to me. it did not work. i tried the other common passwords that i use, and they did not seem to work. i was going to login to make some updates and now i cannot, due to there seemingly being no password recovery form. anyone know how to recover it? do i pm an admin and ask for it to be reset? NilsC 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2005 when you go to cPanel login (close the popup) there is an option to have the password emailed to you. Make sure the email address you specified when you asked for hosting are still working. Then the password will be reset and the new one emailed to you.Nils
InjunSteve 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2005 i do not see that option on the page. after i close the pop up, i see a image across the top "Cpanel X" with a lady at a laptop and other stuff in the background fading out. under that is the place i am supposed to type my name and password all i see is this: "cPanel LoginLogin Attempt Failed!Username Password "no option to request it to be sent to me. if you would like i could provide a screenshot of what i am seeing, if need be
NilsC 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2005 Is this the cPanel you see? If it is then it's you cpanel username that goes here.your cPanel username is "steve" and the password you setup for cPanel. Don't use InjunSteveNils
