Router Log: **smurt** From 192.168.1.2 whats a Smurt ?

I have a cheap Q-tech home broadband router, ive noticed the following stranghe events in the system logs of the router.

192.168.1.2 is the address of my Gentoo Linux box.

false alarm,,, seems SMURT is a typo, meant to be "SMURF"so then i panicked thinking my machies a ben hacked and was being used as poart of a DDOS attack.turns out it was Samba Pinging Broadcast looking for Windows Clients.abort the self destruct
