My three (can't pick between them) favourite movie's would have to be The Matrix (first one ahead of the others who come second respectively), Troy , and Gladiator. All of them of course being highly rated action movies.

Ocean's Eleven - By far my favorite moveie. I saw Ocean's Twelve last night; dont get me wrong, it was a good movie, however IMHO Ocean's Eleven is alot less confusing. There's too many characters that you have to worry about with ocean's twevle. Nonetheless: Both are great movies! Go go go :)

Uhm I didn't think Ocean's 12 was that good, but ocean's 11 was great too.

Since this topic was started I guess I'll add my two cents. I like less popular films that should have been more popular, like Snake Eyes (1998 with Nicolas Cage) and The Edge (1997 with Alec Baldwin, Anthony Hopkins). It may be kind of a cliche as well but I think the Royal Tenenbaums and the Life Aquatic are ranking right up there with my faves right now.Of course I am also a huge fan of Jaws. A lot of people don't appreciate that film as much as they should.

An affair to remember (1957) with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. This is one of the better movies I have seen. (love)

and from the same year "Baby Face Nelson"

George "Babyface" Nelson becomes one of the most important gangsters of 1930's Chicago by making brutal robberies. In order to compete with Al Capone he allies himself with John Dillinger...

Oldies but goodies.

My favourite movie changes every week or two when I see something new, I'm weird like that. But overall I'd have to go with The Mummy Returns just cause I've seen it litterally over 100 times and never even began to get sick of it.

I have a few movies I can recomend, heres a listing and description of why i choose them:

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy - The best fantasy movies ever made! Full of amazing blockbuster special visual effects, breathtaking stunts and action sequences that has 'how did they do that' come to mind, great characters that have been marked down in movie history for their lovable acting, amazing storyline... Basically LOTR managed to snatch most of the awards for 'best of', watch them and find out why. Oh and Enya did the hit track for the original!

The Matrix Trilogy - I never was fond of the original until the other two came out Reloaded and Revolution. Reloaded was once the 'best film I ever saw' by the jaw dropping and ground breaking special visual effects, clever martial art action sequences, great orchestrated heart-pumping music, a nice storyline even though its not its strong points. Revolution was not as good as Reloaded but still had some classic moments of beautiful special visual effects and action sequences, might be a little spaced out more, focussing more on the not-so-good storyline with some clitches as well but overall a great send-off to round the trilogy nicely

Scream Trilogy - The original was once the 'best horror movie' i ever saw, i memorised it word for word, remembered every scene. Bought the merchandise; soundtracks, posters... even the scream costume! The original was amazing! Couldnt of improved in any aspect which made the music composer Marco Beltrami and writer Kevin Williamson into the movie industry like never before. The sequel was just as good, a little disapointing but has some great moments like the death of Randy and the memorable opening in a theatre complex. The third was the worst out of the three, but since im a huge fan of Scream I managed to sit back and enjoy it, to some certain extent. But needs to be watched to know how it all ends, might be best if you dont know because its hasnt got the most cleverest of plots.

Spiderman and Spiderman 2 - The original was amazing in the theatre but when I had it on DVD the special visual effects werent that good. Still a good film never the less. The sequel however was beyond amazing showing some of the most incredible special visual effects I have seen with a storyline that tightens and thrusts us more into the characters lifes doing some daring storyline directions that worked nicely. A little over-the-top with some action sequences but still a whole lot of fun

Kill Bill Volume 1 & 2 - Volume 1 had some tasty blood drenched action sequences of revenge by Uma Thurman in all its gory glory, by the bucket loads. The Volume 2 however focusses more on the storyline than the action sequences and gore, even though it has some great moments, but a whole lot less of them. The characters are what I love the most, and also some of their conversations are just great to listen to. Budd has to be my favourite actor! The music is pretty good as well all set in whats supposed to be the 70s or 80s paying homage by Tarrantino with old fashion martial arts, spagetti western and revenge.

Pirates of the caribbean - A great Walt Disney movie inspired by the boat ride in the Magic Kingdom Florida/Paris. Some nice action sequences, not the best however, some great special visual effects, and superb acting by Johnny Depp, his best performance I have seen him in yet as Captain James Sparrow. A little disapointing, but has some good clean fun.

Terminator trilogy - The original I didnt take much shine to, but still good to watch. Only when Judgement Day, the sequel, came out is when all the real fun and action begins. Even to this day the special visual effects amaze me, the action sequences are legendary with some cheesy but very catchy one linears. Rise of the Machines, the third, was a disapointment, in comparison to the sequel but thats understandable. However it makes up for it with some really good special visual effects that will make you laugh not because their crap but the acting of Arnold and that female model pretending to be scary being robots.

The Usual Suspects - One of the best screenplays EVER. This movie made Kevin Spacey and brought him an Oscar to boot.

Requium For a Dream - Jennifer Connally, Jared Leto, Marlon Wayans and an incredibly profound performance by Ellen Burstyn. A disturbing film about addiction done by Darren Aronofsky who also did the math-geek cult hit, Pi.

American Splendor - This one could not exist without the stunning character acting of Paul Giamatti. Follow the lonely life of Harvey Pekar from hanging out with Robert Crumb listening to old jazz records to his many appearances on Letterman. The guy playing Crumb is so spot-on it's creepy.

Office Space - "Damn, it feels good to be a gangsta."

Donnie Darko - Unusual and barely known. Big cast but not cast-driven. The mirror rippling effect is to die for.

A Beautiful Mind - While the story strays a little far from the actual life story of John Nash and doesn't properly portray how important his work was, it is still a wonderful film.

K-PAX - Visually stunning with great characters, especially in the mental hospital. Another great performance by Kevin Spacey.

Cannibal: The Musical - The South Park guys' first feature, shot on spring break of their senior year in college. Lots of foreshadowing of things to come later in their careers. Watch it on DVD so you can listen to their drunken commentary.

Orgazmo - Trey Parker and Matt Stone's first studio-backed film. About a young Mormon on mission in Hollywood who gets hired to be a porn actor. Still one of the funniest movies I've seen.

The Commitments - Just a great movie with great music and fine performances from mostly amateur actors. Should be required viewing for every band.

Tribute - Documentary about tribute bands. These are real people who are serious about what they do. If you liked Trekkies, see this one.

A Mighty Wind, Waiting for Guffman, Best In Show - The Christopher Guest/Eugene Levy mockumentary trilogy. Great cast that returns for each film.
