Silent Shadow1405241477 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2005 I prefer to drink Pepsi. Mainly because thats the only pop that ever seems to be in the house, so that's all I drink. Now I am used to it so much, that I can't stand Coke's taste.
saxsux 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 Pepsi is my favorite! It is so good! Coke has an odd taste and they used to put drugs in it which is bad. Pepsi is just overall better. I like their sommercials too! Some of them are awesome! I wonder what happened to Britney doing the pepsi commercials they were neato! *sigh* The good old days. *goes to get a pepsi* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They never used to put drugs in coke, cocaine was naturally occuring the coca plant which was one of the main ingredients (hence the name Coca-Cola) What about Dr. Pepper? I love Dr. Pepper!

l337 Nurse Pedestrian 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 They never put drugs in Coca-cola. In case you are wondering 'coke' has nothing to do with cocaine. I don't really care, they are both the same thing, more or less. Pepsi's sweeter, and Coke has more fizz. I do know that Coke is the most rich and valuable company today. hbr 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 I have to say Coke is my fave - I can't bear the taste of Pepsi. I would love to know what their secret ingredient is though, it must be something addictive as I drink bucket loads of coke (not from actual buckets you understand, I do use glasses!). When I was pregnant it made me sick but I still wanted to drink it, how wierd is that!!
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 If I were back in India - I wouldn't vote for either of Coke or Pepsi. We have our very own megafizz cola drink that's been around for decades - it's called Thums Up (might sound like a misnomer for Thumbs Up - but it was intentionally named so). Believe me or not, tt beats the *hit out of both Coke & Pepsi. When Coke moved into India, they bought over Thumbs Up and tried to shut it down and use it's distribution chain to market Coke. But such is it's demand till today, that they were forced to reopen the thumbs up chain and market simultaneously with coke - or else nobody would have gone ahead and bought coke. Want to read more about COKE-PEPSI-THUMS UP Battle in India ?? Goto: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Here's our notion of our very own Thums Up: Strong Cola Taste, Exciting Personality Thums Up is a leading carbonated soft drink and most trusted brand in India. Originally introduced in 1977, Thums Up was acquired by The Coca-Cola Company in 1993. Thums Up is known for its strong, fizzy taste and its confident, mature and uniquely masculine attitude. This brand clearly seeks to separate the men from the boys. Its tag line says it all: "Thums Up, I Want My Thunder. Besides both Coke and Pepsi in India have run into major legal problems earlier on because of the presence of shocking amounts of Pesticides, carcinogenic chemicals like Cadmium etc. News: 1. http://www.rediff.com/money/2003/aug/05pepsicoke.htm 2. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ But for now, I'll stick to PEPSI Maybe my tastebuds work in reverse - but I always found coke too sweet and pepsi having more fizz !! Don't ask me how or why - that's how it is The mild addiction that you grow to these drinks happens because of the caffeine content - what you feel (more often subconciously) after drinking these is the caffeine+sugar buzz in your body. Nothing to do with Cocaine. However all these drinks contain Carbonic Acid (HCO3) - which in itself is very harmful to the stomach lining (specially on empty stomach) - and too much of any of the carbonated drinks can cause serious stomach ulcers. A little info. on how drinks like Coke work Physiologically: Only the cola with 150 mg of caffeine was able to dramatically boost blood levels of free fatty acids (a 22-per cent increase), an effect which some sports scientists have suggested would enhance endurance performance (the fatty acids might serve as a rich lode of energy as muscle-glycogen stores become depleted). Smaller quantities of caffeine (22.5 and 35 mg) raised fatty acids by just 6 per cent, and fats stayed constant when no caffeine was in the cola. Blood glucose tended to drop slowly but steadily during the six hours after ingestion of 0, 22.5, or 35 mg of caffeine (no food was ingested during that time period) but actually rose slightly with 150 mg of caffeine. That may seem surprising, since no nutrients were consumed during the monitoring, but a decent dose of caffeine tends to stimulate the release of two key hormones - epinephrine and norepinephrine - which can increase blood-sugar levels. Somewhat surprisingly, heart rate actually dropped by about six beats per minute after caffeine ingestion, but it also did so with zero caffeine, so we can simply say that caffeine didn't blast heart rate upward or prevent it from falling naturally. Blood pressure did rise a bit, however, especially after the 150-mg dose. Umbra 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 Coke is a lot better then Pepsi... Pepsi is just some brand of pop that copies off of Coke. It taste the same besides for the fact that Coke is not "flat" like Pepsi. Pepsi always taste flat when you drink it, so I would not want to picture Pepsi flat. Then again, Pepsi cost a lot less. VJgamer1405241488 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 When it comes to just regular cola, I like Pepsi better. If you compare the two companies, I also prefer Pepsi. The Pepsi-Cola company has a greater variety of sodas. (Including Moutain Dew)Between Sprite and Sierra Mist, I would definetly chose Sprite (Coke). One of my favorite sodas is Dr. Pepper, although Dr. Pepper is an independent company, it is distributed by Pepsi! earlymorningmist 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2005 Pepsi - Pepsi Max to be precise. Original Pepsi is too sweet and syrupy - and I don't particularly like Coke for the same reasons. However, I do like Coke&Vanilla and Coke&Lemon, and I've recently discovered Coke&Lime which is rather nice I must say.
foolakadugie 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2005 I prefer coke. Pepsi is a little too sweet for my taste. I will drink either, but when given a choice I choose coke.
