cPanel is great! Unfortunately it costs. There are some free control panels that mimic cPanel and use PHP. look on http://www.hotscripts.com/ in the php category and you might find a free one. it won't be as good as cPanel, but what do you expect if it's free?

I think cPanel is a brilliant idea. By putting everything a webmaster needs in one software, it saves the webmaster time and effort in managing the site. And the Fantastico is a brillinat idea too, it collects many open-source scripts which dont cost a cent

cPanel is an excellent program for webmasters. cPanel makes webhosting easy and allows the webmaster to focus on more important things, such as building webpages and expanding content, rather than figuring out how to do something that cPanel could do for you in less time.

Cpanel is by far the best website management program i have ever come across. I really have a tough time going back to just a basic host ... I have no regrets about Cpanel ... it's worth the money

Cpanel is easy to use for bennigners and advanced users is the best choice, I don't know any free ripoff of Cpanel.

yes, i have used control panel for a little bit, and i agree is the easiest way to manage a website, and i loved my experienced using a control panel

If you get a plan with Xisto, it includes cpanel. If you want to use cpanel on your own server, it costs a fee.

In my own personal opinion, CPanel is just great. It is very user-friendly and it makes my work easier as a webmaster. Fantastico lets me install scripts that could take time when installed manually and I could manage most of the things in my host. It is very useful but I do not recommend buying it when you have no money. It costs a lot, I won't force myself to buy it if I know that I can manage my host well without it. Still, a very useful and good tool!

cPanel is indeed very useful! it also eases the pain of installing scripts for example like phpNuke or phpbb2 on your server. It also allows the easy maintenance of your server and its also very easy to add accounts, email accounts, and other stuff. I think its well worth the $1000+ price tag

I like the ease of cpanel but I can make and managa a site without it. I have been building sites for too long without it to get enamored by it.
