comp2 1 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 I am wanting to get feedback on which script install you guys refer. I have always used fantastico and I know that a new version is coming. It seems like the interface is getting old and the apps are getting out of date. I have never tried softalicios however on my hosting account with Xisto has it.What do you prefer. velma 6 Report post Posted April 30, 2013 My first "One click installer" was Fantastico but I grew disappointed and disillusioned after realizing how most of the softwares they deploy are outdated versions. In any case, I don't use Installers. I like to manually install my applications. xisto has both Softaculous and Installatron. Installatron lets you backup and restore your installed program, it also lets you update the installed applications through your Cpanel which is pretty helpful for beginners. I too for the most part just do a manual install, however I have a vps through another company and some of the members still use the fantastico I have licensed.
