You should try out Voodoopad. it is a great program that will let will not slow you down. Its got tabbed wiki-style notes to make each class one big file. It is always fast and you can record audio and much more! It also has a great feature that will auto save everything, so if you are running out of class fast, you do not have to worry about losing your precious notes. =DD

I hope this helps, try it out! =D and if you need a fully functional MS-word type program, open office.org. Does EVERYTHING that ms-word does, except it is for frizzle. =D
