ritu 1 Report post Posted July 25, 2012 An earthquake of a magnitude as high as 6.6 hit the island of Sumatra in Indonesia,this morning, the northern part has been affected the most. The piece of news was disclosed by the U.S. Geological survey. The shock waves were felt in the the island of Simeulue off Sumatra's northwest coast.However, experts according to their analysis say that there are little chances of Tsunami following the earthquake as it was described as an earthquake with "no tsunami potential". though many people remain worried about severe damage that could follow, there have been no reports of damage of life and property as a consequence of the earthquake.Source Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
