Amelia Earhart And Sally Ride:homage To Two Important Women

Amelia Earhart made her mark in the field of aviation being the first woman to fly solo over the Atlantic Ocean. She was among the first 20 women in the U.S. to be issued a pilot's license and the first American to fly over both Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.She mysteriously went missing while trying to circumnavigate the Earth's sphere from the equator. It was the much wondered about Bermuda Triangle and several stories have been associated with the disappearance of Earhart.Another woman who could be looked up as a role model by many aspiring youngsters is Dr. Sally Ride, a physicist who became the first woman in the U.S. to ride into the space.She breathed her last at her home in San Diego.She was a professor of physics in the University of California,San Diego. She also managed her own company to contribute to the cause of inspiring youngsters to take up careers in science, technology, engineering and maths.These ladies can be considered to be the pioneers of feminist movements getting a solid ground.
