ritu 1 Report post Posted March 3, 2012 I remember when I was a kid, my mother would sit with me and try to make out what her child's interests were, but when you are that young you don't really bother to show your interests, whatever is innate, gets deviated when so much novelty is there for the child to be explored. Then she decided to make me draw a mango, and how disastrous that came out to be! it was incredible that the curve at the bottom tip of the mango required that much effort. the real trouble that I faced still remains unidentified as I was the one who was troubled, and being so young, I hardly remember anything. It was no less than a disgrace for my family that their child wasn't even able to sketch a mango out. So, the idea of sending me to painting classes sprung up............. and it isn't hard to guess that there wasn't a choice but attend the classes. Probably that was a friend of my brother like acquaintance, a young fellow desperately looking for a job, as he got introduced to my parents, my lessons began. He,indeed was a magician------ he was skilled like many other people, but had the capability of transferring his skill to the absolute non-painters( the lot that I belonged to). With the course of time, I noticed that it wasn't that tough to draw a mango, moreover I could also now have a few more things drawn. Oh! yes, that was awesome. Proceeding with my lessons, there came a stage when he would ask me to paint something out of my own imagination, he got busy painting himself, and what did he paint, anything that he would come across and trust me it could be anything. That"s the reason why I call him a skilled person, his skill was actually in his perception of things. When I say drawing anything, do you think that's simple?Every piece of matter on this earth was inspiration for art according to him. Though at present I do possess a good hand at painting, it will take long for me to attain the dexterity of his level, for possibly I lack that divine connection that he had with Nature. This according to me is creativity which can transform a lifeless element into a piece of art.
prashansas 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2012 For me as a child, I never bothered about creativity because I never thought I was creative in any ways. But I would always try to imitate my uncle in sketching and drawing as he was very good at it. Though I could never draw or sketch the way he would also while in school I tried my hand at drawing and painting and succeeded to some extent. But it was in 9th Grade that I discovered my real inner talent and the passion for creativity in writing. I still remember it was my final term exam for English and we had to write an essay on 'Mother' and while I started writing, it seemed like it's never going to end and I almost ended up writing at least 3 to 4 pages as we had limited time to complete our paper. So since then I have been writing and enhancing my skill.
sharmiladevi 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) Well I could say that I have learnt it from my kid. When she was around 3 I told her how to draw apple and mango. She then developed interest towards it by coloring it and after sometime she started to do it perfectly and in one figure, she started using different colors, it will be so colorful, though the actual picture will have that kind of color, her imagination was so good u know and then whenever she takes crayons and scribble in wall I used to restrict her telling not to make walls dirty, sometimes she listens to it and most of the time of course she will not and then I gave her one wall of bedroom to explore herself. I would say, most of pictures scribbled looks like a modern art, believe me. Then I got one bunch of A4 sheets and used to give her one and I myself take one and we both used to draw and color any picture in our imagination and after sometime another kid from our neighbor joined this activity, the result was tremendous you know.... I really want to encourage this further and hoping to see a bright future of her. Edited June 12, 2012 by sharmiladevi (see edit history)
