Any Video Editing Specialists At Hand? Problem using Pinnacle Studio 15 Ultimate.

Recommended Posts

I am a user of Pinnacle Studio 15 Ultimate.Yesterday, I downloaded a film from Youtube, which someone had posted there in 11 separate parts.Since they came from Youtube, they were in.flv format, so I converted them to.AVI using Youtube Downloader. They all turned out in 11 completely normal looking AVI clips. However, when I imported them into a Pinnacle poject and dragged hem onto the timeline, only the first clip had audio, all the rest had a completely blank audio track.Yet, when I played the separate AVIs in WMP or VLC Media player, they played completely normal, including audio.Has anyone got any idea what could have happened to my audio, or how I could get it back? Also, the spec on the clps seems to be different, on the 1st one, it says "MPEG-2", on the othes MP4, DivX (Don't know whether that is relevant). Any help will be gratefully accepted.

It seems that the software you're using doesn't support the audio codec of your video files. I assume you were going to merge the videos, so I suggest you download another program to do it, like Avidemux or VirtualDub. Both are free and somewhat easy to use.

Hi mrdeeFrom my experience with video editing I had the same problem once and it turned out to be that the resolution and quality of the videos I downloaded were too low for the editing software I was using. From what you are describing you are having the same problem and with the Pinnacle Studio 15 Ultimate software it is a high quality software so it will only take the right resolution and quality to export a perfect video. Now it might work fine on the time line as you are editing but as you export it, it creates a totally not synchronized video different from what it was in the pinnacle studio. This happens when the frame rate per second or the resolution is not up to the levels required by the program. My suggestion is that you either use a beginner level software to edit the youtube videos in which it will and should work fine; or you can try to boost the quality of the youtube videos that you downloaded through a video encoding software but I would not go by the second option because it could still yield the same results that you got before. So to edit the youtube videos and put them together try using something so simple and basic like Windows live movie maker or any other basic video editing software. Usually those basic softwares do not require high frame rates or high quality videos. I hope this helps and I hope that my suggestions would be of use to you.
