Building A Good Character Tips And Quotes

Recommended Posts

Good character is more to be praised than outstanding talent. Most talents are, to some extent, a gift. Good character, by contrast, is not given to us. We have to build it, piece to piece -- by thought, choice, courage, and determination. What are character traits? They are the qualities that show a person to have high moral values. They are the basis for character building, personal counseling, family values training and life coaching. Who is responsible for teaching desirable character traits?Parents: As a parent you want your child to grow up to be a person who shows all of the positive character traits, there are said to be sixty-six character traits. Family values are taught at the mother and father's knee. Beginning with love, courage of convictions, compassion, respect, responsibility, integrity, honesty and every positive character trait you can teach and instill in your child. Family values define the system of belief's that will follow your child throughout their lives and enable them to make a positive contribution to society.Educators: Educators typically believe that character education within the school system needs to include six basic character traits which include: respect, honesty, responsibility, cooperation, hard work, and compassion.
