Xbox 360 Controller Turns Off After Using Trigger

Recommended Posts

I don't know why. The batteries (depending on how you define new for them) are brand new, i.e., full. 99% of the times I press the trigger, it turns off. 50% of the times I turn it back on, it turns right back off. Some times, the analogue sticks and/or regular buttons also causes it to turn off. My other controller works just fine with the same brand batteries, so it's not that. What could it be?

I figured it out. The controller uses alkaline only. I thought I was using the same type batteries in both, but I wasn't. The white one had Duracell alkalines, but the other had some type of heavy duty. I switched the heavy duties for alkalies and it worked.New problem though. The batteries in the white one suddenly doesn't keep connection with the controller.
