If you have trouble giving up foods you love, plan to transform your eating with portion control instead. Eating sweet desserts and decadent meals can be okay, as long as you partake of those things in moderation. If your family loves lasagna and other high calorie meals, get out a small salad plate in order to help yourself control your portion size. If there is cake for dessert, take a bit instead of a piece. You can still eat everything you used to eat, you just need to cut back on the amount. If you deny yourself of too many of your favorite foods, you will likely fall off the bandwagon completely and go overboard on those foods at some point.

Diet supplements only slow down your metabolism, though they say otherwise. Ditch the pills, vitamins, tablets, drinks, and whatever else you bought. Just eat healthy and exercise regularly (a jog a day, etc.).

Oatmeal is good for slowing the digestive process also, but it also burns off fast into sugar and spikes the blood sugar good. So it is important to not eat more than half a serving at a time and eat it with pecans and protein. Preferably egg whites cooked in olive oil with salsa or fresh veggies... BEst of luck
