What Exactly Is A Line Service Job airport

Recommended Posts

The line service professionals are responsible for refueling aircraft, towing and hangaring aircraft, runway/taxiway checks, fuel shipment, Dept of Defense Inspections, complying with all FAA rules and regulations governing the proper fuel handling and airport operation, and general up keep of the airport facilities. These are only a FEW of the duties required for that position.

If that's the FEW, what's the REST.

handling multi-million dollar corporate jets, bush hogging, plowing snowy runways, fueling the smallest oldest airplane, and meeting new people

Is that also part of it? Would I really want this position for a first job? If not, what would be an easier job for a small airport? I definitely can't be a flight instructor, for I can't even fly an airplane, which is why I need the job. So I can get ~$6,000 USD to learn to fly. And don't forget, I'm still in school and will be for another year.
