E-mail E-mail

Recommended Posts

Whenever we send an e-greetings for any occasion, we specify a particular date on which that greeting is delivered. Is it possible for a simple E-mail to act like this i.e. to be delivered on a particular specified date? Is it possible to delete the mail which has already been sent by has not been seen/checked by the receipient?

Well hello everyone out there, this is my first reply on these forums and I am glad it is about something I am actually good in.So, binod asked if sending a mail in such a way that it arrives on that very day as the user wants. Sorry binod but this is not possible. All that the web servers on which these greating cards are placed are very very powerfull for handling mass mailing which can range upto billions of mails. But there is a catch, one can send a mail in such a way that it appears that the mail was sent on a particular date. You can do this by using the simplest tools that are provided with windows itself. *** The method in which this is done is actually used in sending fake mails which in fact is considered illegal, and that is why I am not posting it here***But sometimes it happens that many of the mail servers are configured in such a way that if a person sends in a fake mail with the date of the day the user wants it to arrive on (the mail server cannot recognise the difference) and it holds the mail on tis servers and then releases it on the very date (and also time) that was specified in the mail.Hoped this helped you in any way possible. But anyway atleast now you know that you can send such a mail.

Dear Binod Singh and Sahil Chopra, By seeing your name I assume that u are indians. So I think You have already heard of Indiatimes Email . They provides the facility you are talking about. You can write your mail there and specily the date when you want to send your mail. If you want to check it go http://www.indiatimes.com/
