What Do You Use Your Computer For? it seems I am way behind...

I have found that on this message board there are a lot of programmers and everything and I was just wondering does anyone on here just use the computer anymore for entertainment purposes only?I know I do. I mean this is basically what I do on my computer.Listen to music (winamp)Check my emailgo to different websites that I really don't need to do I guessgo to message forumscheck my Ebay accountplay PC or online gameswrite my school papersThat is about the rundown. Am I so far behind?

I use my computer mostly for work and study but it's also my entertainment system. I havn't played games in years but thoroughly enjoy watching videos and listening to some good mp3's. Of course one could not forget the use of the web to update my page and do the general surfing thing. I enjoy my PC but make a concerted effort to not let it rule my life and to spend less than 2 hours a day on it.

well mine is pretty similar to a few before me. I use my computer for lots of my school work (research, essays, blah blah blah). also for browsing the internet, checking out sites, posting in some forums. photoshop and dreamweaver for learning how to and then building my site. then also for other entertainment like music, games, and sometimes a movie. must have been really different when computers were not around

Well, I started using computers back in 94 or 95, can't remember exactly... I started off playing games on Commodore 64. Then I got my hands on a book about BASIC programming language, and I figured, why don't I just make my own games. Later on, I realized I had absolutely NO talent for making games, just ideas But, I didn't give up programming, and now, I spend about 12 to 16 hours in front of a computer, at home or at work. I work as a programmer, and, well... You know that's time consuming :DThere isn't much new I can say I do with my computer:- work, work, work - listen to music- watching movies- chat/im with friends- surfing- maintaining my website- posting on forums- occasional game? :DThat about wraps it up, for now

I started using computer from 1998 since then i have been using computer for different purposes. which includes-playing games (i used to play age of empires a lot at the beginining even 18 hrs a day he he he).-some music-web site designing- lots of programming- hmmm playing games (sometimes - stratagies)-using internet to learn different things and get knowedge on different topics-yeap watching moviesThat's all but some thing might have been missed

I am glad I am not that far behind in the world. Yesterday I actually installed my own second hard drive. 80 gig so it should hold a substantial amount but I had never done that before. I am really thinking that I should be able to deliver when it comes to creating my own computer at some point in time though with today's games and entertainment really asking a lot, it no longer is truly cheaper to make your own tower or anything.
