Creating Archives In Php not ZIP archive

Do anyone of you know how to create archives like the archives system of WordPress? I want to create an archive system. or even just a simple wordpress like archive systemalso, I have a code <img src="images/sample.pic"> when it is archived the images won't appear unless put a "../" in the beginning, nowcan we rewrite ../images/header.gif to images/header.gif using htaccess or vice versa?

Why not just use wordpress??
