jennabella 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2009 I installed wordpress 2.8.4 on my computer and successfully uploaded my files to my webhost. I tried to go to my admin area (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/) and error showed up: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/destiny1/public_html/wp-config.php on line 1 Does anyone knows what this mean???Please help
rvalkass 5 Report post Posted September 4, 2009 That error can be caused by quite a few things, such as getting the opening and closing PHP tags wrong, mismatching brackets and mismatching quotes. Is there any chance you could copy the contents of wp-config.php up here (minus passwords and things) so we can take a look and fix it?
andreip 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2009 Did you used the same setting on MySQL database as on the computer ? You shouldn't upload the installed version on your webhost directly. Upload the install files and simply install it. It should work fine .
webishqiptar 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2009 Try uploading here the wp-config file, because you must have done any mistake while changing your parameters, such database name and localhost..There shouldn't be a reason for that $end to show.
