onesickpup 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2009 Hi all, I'm completly new to these forums, or new to posting on them anyway. In fact, it's taken ages to work out how to send this! I live with what folk may refer to as the 'new age' travelling community, so have only been able to have my own internet connection with the recent advent of pre-pay mobile broadband. It works out quite cheap if you don't download all the images, animations etc. Obviously, if your usage is mainly looking at video and the like, pay for use would be expensive. Anyway, my main (computing) interest is in programming, in particular Java. I've been learning this for several months now and would like to put some of my efforts on line to get some much needed feedback. Also, I've been teaching myself the basics of Web design but really need to see the results in a real context. I'd be more than happy to reply to anyone who is struggling with the very basics of Java, it's a steep learning curve when you first begin and I felt too daft to ask really mundane questions, 'tho it would have saved me hours of frustration, pondering seemingly obscure error messages.
