Echo_of_thunder 1 Report post Posted January 7, 2009 Okay I am stumped here. Tonight I talked with a friend of mind and he had this idea and asked me of it, and it had me stumped. He broadcasts using real player. When he is not doing his show he has his station in auto mode. What he asked was designing a player that would show him live with audio and video, then when he goes into auto mode the player would still play the audio but the video would then play small photos? myself I have never heard of anything like this other than WMP Or winamp with there skins. Could this be done?
princeofvegas 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2009 To me it looks like he might be better off looking into starting to stream his live video in flash. As of late there have been some major improvements in flash streaming. The best part is that the players are so customizable that you will pretty much be able to configure it to do whatever you want. I used to run a live show with flash and I was able to program the player so that as soon as a certain signal was received to the play from the admin side it would switch to a screen that said "broadcast is not currently live". It seems it would only be a hop skip and a jump from getting it to continue playing the audio with a slideshow. Let me know if you have any questions. I might be able to point you in the right direction as far as tutorials and such. Okay I am stumped here.
