We have a website for our chess club - V-FEC of FICS - and recently we have decided to add a cookbook to our website!

 

As the webmaster, I am glad to share the latest recipes with you.

 

The following recipe was written by shivaroxxx (Scott) of FICS for our club:

Apricot Pineapple Jam

 

Start with 3 cups puree fresh apricot, add 1/2 cup lemon juice, 12 20oz can crushed pineapple and a package of gelatin. Put on the stove on very close to high. Once it is boiling hard add 8 cups sugar and continue to stir. Once a full rolling boil is going again, continue to boil hard for 4 minutes. Let cool slightly and then skim off the foam. At this point, rack into pint jars using the hot jar canning method for 10 minutes under boiling water to insure a good seal on the jar.
