bishoujo 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2008 This recipe serves 5 - 6 people.Ingredients:200g knotted dried soya sticks75g dried mushrooms8 cloves garlic, slightly crushed2 tbsps dried shrimp, rinsed2 tbsps cooking oil2-3 tbsps dark soya sauce1 tbsp light soya sauce1 tbsp sugar1/2 tsp saltMethod:1. Soften knotted dried soya sticks in warm water for 1/2 hour. Rinse and drain in colander.2. Rinse dried mushrooms. Soften in warm water for 1/2 hour. Trim and discard stalks. Halve large softened mushrooms and leave small ones whole. Lightly squeeze excess water. Drain mushrooms.3. In a large pot, heat cooking oil and saute crushed garlic and dried shrimp until fragrant. Add softened mushrooms and knotted soya sticks. Toss for a minute. Add 8 cups hot water and dark soya sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover pot and leave to simmer for 45 minutes.4. Add sugar, light soya sauce and salt. Cover pot, and simmer again for 15 minutes or until soya sticks are soft.
