nyy26 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2008 a lot of teams need pitching, especially the Yankees with all the injuries. Ian Kennedy will be back soon but who knows what he can give you. These are the pitchers that are availble: Starters 1. C.C. Sabathia: I wouldn't want the Yankees to give up any big prospects for Sabathia, mainly because of his age and there is no guarantee that he will pith good in New York 2. Rich Harden: Shouldn't give up any big prospects because even though he could be one of the bests when he's helthy, he's almost never healthy. Billy Beane is willing to trade him but we all know he's gonna want a boat load of prospects in return. 3. Erik Bedard: He isn't pitching that great, so if he would come cheap, the yankees should go for him. the mariners have said that anyone is available, so if that includes Felix Hernandez, i say the yanks should go nuts for him as long as they don't give up Joba or Hughes. 4. A.J. Burnett: He's got a great arm but is hit or miss. Don't give up a lot of prospects for him, but if you can get him cheap, take him. 5. Freddy Garcia: free agent. Working hard to come back and just began letting it loose. He's a big-game pitcher, and if his shoulder is fit, he'll help somebody by August or September. 6. Randy Wolf: I've always liked him, hes got good stuff but seems a little injury prone, he shouldn't cost much to get. 7. Greg Maddux: Not only can he still pitch but he would be great to have around the young guys, i think he should be on the top of yankees list. 8. Kevin Millwood: He's getting toward the end of his big deal, and Texas has a host of young pitchers coming. Vicente Padilla is another possibility to go. 9. Joe Blanton: Beane might have waited too long on this one. He's viewed as no better than an "innings eater'' at this point. Beane wanted to much in the beginning, so if he lowers his price, the yankees will go after him. 10. Jarrod Washburn: Serviceable pitcher, dont give up anything great. 11. Bronson Arroyo: Ten runs in one inning against Toronto in last start, had some arm problems, don't want the yankees to get him unless its for basically nothing. Relievers 1. Huston Street: Obviously would be great if he's willing to set up for Rivera, as long as you dont have to give up an A+ prospect. 2. Kevin Gregg: A serviceable reliever 3. George Sherrill: Would make a good set up man 4. Damaso Marte: This guy the yankees need, one of the best lefty relivers in the game, they've been trying to get him back every year since they traded him to the pirates in 2001 for Enrique Wilson. 5. Brian Fuentes: Was great last year, don't give up an A prospect 6. Joe Borowski: Not that great, unless he costs nothing, don't get him 7. Chad Bradford: Great against lefties, old, if they don't get Marte, he could be an option if he comes cheap. 8. Jamie Walker: Old and overpaid but could still be marketable considering a small reliever market. So who do you want your team to pick up before the deadline, post your proposed trades here.
