New Evidence Of Another Dimension Or Seperate Universe?

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if anybody has heard too much about this (I read about it in New Scientist and don't really remember the specifics) but apparently during the ongoing project of creating a map of the universe, scientists have found an anomaly that suggests there might be a huge tear in the universe. This was discovered by thermal imaging which shows an enormous irregular space of extreme temperature drop and absence of galaxies. Some scientists have theorized that this is where our universe and another universe are touching. Has anyone else heard about this? What do you think it is?

I know what you are talking about (I hope), but I don't think that it is just a tear into another universe/plane of existence...I personally think that it is where the universe began. If the big bang did happen, the centre of the unusual blank space could be the origin point of the big bang.If the big bang was created when two universes collided (which is possibly the only way to get enough power to spawn an entire univers out of virtually nothing.)Also, it could be the point where universes are touching, or maybe more likely where this universe meets the void in between universes. But the latter isn't likely, because the vacuum in the void would suck everything into it...The former also isn't likely because imagine the energy needed and consumed to keep that gateway open! If there was actually a gateway, then it should be giving off almost infinite amounts of energy. But it could very much be just a point of origin where the big bang occured and no "gateway" was created, because if it was created then it would be very detectable, and dangerous with the extremely large amounts of concentrated high-danger radiation given off...So, I don't think that it is a tear in the universe, but it could very much be where the big bang occured...Also, don't forget the moment the big bang disappated there wouldn't be nearly enough energy to keep the gateway open.

Good point. I do think that this is where the big bang occured however. I dont really remember the article, but if I remember right they observed a sort of "mirror" effect. As far as not having enough energy to keep the gateway open, who knows how much energy is needed for that. The energy remaining from the collision could be enough to keep it open. It might not even be a gateway, it could just be the remains of the gateway. Crazy stuff though.

How much of the universe have we explored? Not much really, secondly is our understanding of it perfect? No. Thirdly we make observations based on our frame of reference, which are basically Newtonian in nature. We are not comfortable with things disappearing in air, falling upwards or some unusual stuff which we have against our perception. So it all creates a huge vaccume between what is there outside and what we feel. Space is mysterious and our technology is not as advanced as it would be in some future. We suspect existance of some other life forms, which are in some other phase of life. All thise goes to say that 3 Dimensional world and fourth dimension of time make our world a 4-D world, but in fact it might be true that there is quite a new frame of reference, altogether some new technology or science which we have not touched yet. We might have holes in air, opening at some quite unknown co-ordinates in time, or space. We come to the para-scientifical advances which just open a new window to the world we see. The existance of any further dimensions pertaining to space or time can not be denied. Who can say that the amount of universe we know is as small as a electronic orbit in some atom. We do not know what is at that micro level & similarly we do not know what is on macro level big as universe. So still too much to learn.
