Dodger 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2004 Let's be real, there is no one type of music I listen too. You are just as likely to here Ludacris or Bustah Rhymes in my truck as you Rossini, Back or Holst. I can put in metalica and switch too Dixie Chicks and then to DC Talk or Skillet. Lately though, techno or instrumentals have been really nice. There are several good tracks I like on Matrix Reload and Blade3 that I have been listening too. I am interested in listening to more of this stuff, and the only group I know is Chemical Brothers, I am trying to see if you music pros out ther could reccomend anything to me. I would like to try anything similar to metal or hard rock version of what si out there. Oh and the final requirement is, there must be some sort of melody. My classical training demands it. Thanks for the help guys, and gals if you are listening as well.
mistab 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 Hmm... it's rather hard to know what you're looking after, but I'd have to recomend Drum 'n' Bass (just 'cause I like it )Try:Ak1200AphroditeBad Company (or E|3 )DJ DaraDJ DieselboyPhotekSource DirectLook at music.downloads.com 's section under DnB. Then look at Jump-up if you want reggae influenced DnB, or Tech-step if you want techno influenced DnB.Really fun stuff. Take a listen (or two).
bjrn 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2005 You should take Gnoosic for a test drive. It lets you neter three bands/artists you like and then it gives recommendations based on what other people with your taste liked.(Check out the small "related bands" link under each recommendation, which shows ... related bands)
