gothtec 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 I think quake 1 has a lot better feel to it. The graphics are darker, the sounds are better and the levels show a lot more effort. If you play glquake, even the quality of the graphics looks better to me...I think that after Quake 1, ID hasn't really made a high quality FPS game. Doom 3 felt incredibly linear and there were no large, open scenes or any interesting people your character could interact with like in HL2.One good thing about Quake 2, however, is that it'll run on almost anything.
