Above The Rest 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2007 I'm not sure where I want to go with Designify, and a blog could be a possibility. If that's the case, here's a possible design http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/.Comments, Suggestions, Criticism? rvalkass 5 Report post Posted November 17, 2007 I like the colours, they work well together. However, there are a few issues with the layout. Firstly, I would move the content to the right of the navigation, rather than placing one on top of the other. I'd also add some spacing between the heading (designify.org in white at the top) and the navigation, as the two overlap at the moment. Finally, you have a Valid XHTML link at the bottom, but the page is not valid Either fix it or remove the link.
crazyfray 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2007 (edited) As rvalkass said, main issue is content below navigation (in IE7 and Firefox, anyway). Perhaps specify the width of your left floating navigation in % as you have, and float the main content right?I actually like the way that the page title text overlaps the navigation box...it's little touches like that that can turn a standard layout into something interesting for me...it'll give the final page a bit of depth, but it'll only work if the overall layout is fixed, so that it looks like a conscious design choice rather than a bug. Above The Rest 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2007 I fixed all the problems. It's valid now (a bit of a sandbox at the time). Also, the header text is supposed to overlap, notice how it's perfectly on the line.
