Internet Connection Script/applicatio/config

hi guys

 

does any one of you know a VB sctipt that connects to the net with given info in the winXP environment

 

i im sick of click connecting every time i turn on my pc

 

though i thought that i do know "stuff" bout XP but i failed to find this option in the settings and administration tools

create a short cut to your internet and put it in the startup folder....

i wish it was so easy

i would to that if i had the script

but doin that now does not solwe the problem couse all it does is open the dialog window at the sytem start and still i have to click to connect (damn dsl)

1. right click network places -> properties2. right click ur dsl connection -> properties3. pick options tab4. uncheck "prompt me for name and password"edit: then put it in startup folder

:)would you belive that i went thru all the admin options in XP

and came up with zero

neglecting the basic options of the connetcion

 

*5. uncheck "prompt fo the number" :D

and done

no problem.

 

but mine doesn't have prompt for number.  my connection type is broadband and doesnt have that option. I thought yours was the same.

it all depends on you provider and the way the offer their service

my isp offers dsl "not in a dsl way"

it sounds fishy but it dials liek a dial-up but only for this numer : " * "

Well, I am on T1 LAN and it connects to the internet even before it is fully booted! A blessing after seeing your queries here.no9t9, good answer here the second time. You get a reputation from me for helping a fellow member fast. :D

D-Link is a good brand. Netgear is another decent brand.The basic things that you will need to setup the network are the access point, which is built into the router, and some wireless access cards, which it looks like one was included in the setup that you were looking at.A 4 port wireless router will also have 4 RJ45 jacks for the wired side, so you can connect the computers that are close with Cat 5e.Thank YouBye
