GamerGlitch 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2007 The latest site of my creation is GamerGlitch.com. The site started out with just content, no interactivity at all; plain HTML. However, when I started recieving a good number of hits I decided I needed to change this. So, I took action and added a large, PHPBB 2.(I forget) Forum. However, since the install of the Forum I have received many errors in the script, most of them because of MODs added and the layout I created for the site my be insecure (buy, hey, it was my first time). I was wondering if any of the members here, at Xisto, have experienced any errors, or had problems occur while using a PHPBB system. I am currently working on debugging one of the final errors (thank god ). This error is one you get while posting a reply (posting a thread is done errorless). If you feel so inclined to help me fix the error, or want to see the error, just make a reply (delete it if you don't want to keep it on the site), the forum can be found at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and guests (if you do not register) Can post in any of the 3 Forums at the bottom of the index page. I was also wondering if anyone has tried out PHPBB 3, as of now, and for a while it's been out (only the buggy testing version, of course). If you have indeed tried it out, would you recommend it, what are noticeable differences between versions 3 and 2? Well that's all, thank you for the time. jlhaslip 4 Report post Posted July 24, 2007 Please note that many questions can be answered by using the Search Feature of the Xisto.http://forums.xisto.com/index.php?acthlite=%2Bphpbb3That link will answer many of the questions you have asked, in particular, all you have asked about phpbb3 has been discussed already and there is a Sample of the software available on my account to check it out. I will leave it up to you to find the Topic and Posting.Modding software can cause problems. Especially multiple Mods at once. When you have several Mods on the same software, they sometimes conflict. Check the phpbb Forums and search there for discussions on each Mod you plan to install. Often times, someone else has already had the same difficulties and very often the solution is available be reading the Theads over there.
