Why Does My Mysql Databases Keep Disapearing?

i got a "too many connections to database error" because mysql databases were gone! but after a day it came backand now it happened againis the server going down or something?

Everyone has been having mysql problems over the last couple weeks it seems. I got an email from Xisto saying that some people are abusing the server which caused it to go down. Personally, I don't use MySQL. I don't really see a need for it unless you are setting up something complex like a forum. I've seen people use MySQL for guestbooks, and other simple stuff. No need. I make my own guestbook using PHP and simply read and write to my own file.
