premracer 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2006 go to start, click run, type in "msconfig" go to the services tab up at the top and uncheck any of the following programs you would not like to start at the startup screen. Then click apply and you can continue without restarting or you can restart (recomended) and this will speed your computer up. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ghostrider 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2006 Be careful which services you disable tho, some services may be needed for Windows to be ran properly. darran 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2006 The worry I have with doing this is that I do not know which are the essential services, as a result I may not be starting the services which are necessary for windows to run properly.
