michaelper22 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2006 I saw that too. It's not surprising that Ubuntu is such great software, because it combines the best of open source software. It evens runs lickety split on my aging HP with an AMD K6 (it's now 8 years old oh my gosh!). I oredered a bunch of their CDs - they shipped across the world pretty quickly. Open source software like Ubuntu is ideal for the advanced home user who is just sick of windows (I am sort of, but I also live on it).

Chrisseh 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 (edited) I totally agree, I ordered the free cd's online earlier this year, installed it on both my PC and my laptop. It's great, runs very fast on my old laptop, was pretty easy to install alongside with my existing Win2k installation, and has great online support forums. I only wish I had waited a few months before ordering it- I've got Breezy, and just as I start getting into it, Dapper came out Anywho, congrats to Ubuntu!
