MaineFishing45 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 (edited) The only real online dating service that I can think of is EHarmony that somewhat matches you with people. But what the hell is with the True Ads for there dating service? They all are sexual references and stuff just take a look: There is no nudity in the links, just "some" cleavage and bikini's, and some wording. Nothing bad, just don't look if you don't want to simple! None of the ads you have not see @ Xisto put it that way! Click Click Click Click (Again...) Since I did not post them as an image, since I could technicaly be considered inaproperiate content or porn, since mostly the ads show large amounts of cleavage and bikini's.... wow thats dating for ya . But my point is, your supposed to like a girl for who she is, not what she looks like. Even though having both is a good thing. Again to my point, its really sleezy the way there trying to get users. I mean honestly your not going to get the girl you see in the add, and I bet there are a ton of non-glamorious girls there too. And most other dating companies are complaining that True is "using" women and stuff, even though the company is 70% women and 30% men. Explains a lot does it not? If anyone wants I can send you a good article the explains my point a lot better. Well lets see what others have to say about this? And there are more and more appearing on sites and pop ups, here @ Trap I have seen tons of them and stuff. Like the Naughty or Nice?... ok thats dating thats like advertising: "Come and have sex with me", before 500,000 other people see the ad . Sleezy or Not? BordaForx 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 (edited) This is right on the point. These TRUE ads, in my opinion, are not exactly the best ads. Well, first of all, it's not really "kid" friendly.By posting your picture on this website, it will immediatly prone to endanger you to "rapists". If anybody has taken Biology, a man is aroused by "looking" while a female is aroused by "touch". Thats why, if you hold a female's hand, they will be dedicated, and they will probably aroused, while the male will probably think lightly of it. This is one of the reasons why parents make their daughters wear "appropriate" attire. In my opinion, these ads should be put away. These ads are just posted for a "sexual" relationship and not a long/lasting/loving one. Edited July 8, 2007 by BordaForx (see edit history)
sxyloverboy 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 I don't think you guys should be making such a big deal about it. These ads are using what is called SEX appeal. And i think its up to the true love company to decide how they want to avertise for their services. And im sure the people that sign up there, which are in the usual case 18 or older because you need a usualy credit card, should know for themselves that its obvious they arnt going to get the bikini model from the ad. And as for kids safe i dont think that these ads do anything to kids except maybe make little boys horny from the looking as NovaTerra so well explained that males are arroused by looking. These ads dont tell kids to post pictures of themselves and write their adresse all over it so that rapists can go over there and rape them.
terminal2k 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2006 it is a bad way to market their services but they aren't really showing anything different to what you see when you turn on the television. the majority of advertising these days doesn't actually show you what the real product is like. its sad that companies feel the need to market like this, its as bad as telemarketing, what happened to the days when you would just make your good or service better than any others and make your money that way? MaineFishing45 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2006 Thats true because what there all doing is just marketing for space to buy the same product with different packaging and stuff. And this is about services/marketing in general not just true ads and stuff. Ads in general today are just like eating at each other for the space and who has 5+ minutes or something. And there using like famous people or sexy ppl that have no clue who the company is, what there advertising and that stuff. People just see that oh look, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt there ( ), that means its a good product and I have to buy it.... Anyways good point you have there. it is a bad way to market their services but they aren't really showing anything different to what you see when you turn on the television. the majority of advertising these days doesn't actually show you what the real product is like. its sad that companies feel the need to market like this, its as bad as telemarketing, what happened to the days when you would just make your good or service better than any others and make your money that way? Jesse 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2006 Any ads such as these and more graphic ones over the internet provide 'lust' they can never really turn into love. Not for a LONG time anyone. You meet someone online, and most of the time people are lying about something to do with themselves, their lives, their partners or whatever it is.There has to be a lot of trust over the internet to start a relationship. I have heard of it being done, but it is something that I do personally not believe in. It is not something that I would encourage or get into.If people do, that is there choice. But as I have said to friends that have asked me my oipinon, if you get hurt to come to me, I have warned you before. And that is all I have to say on this matter. CinnamorollTK 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2006 Maybe there are people who are looking for a real relationship but ads like that will make those people seem that they are sex crazy. When I was young, I always thought that people who put ads on those dating sites are looking for free sex because they are too cheap to pay for a hooker. Now they have a site called AdultFrien******* (I censored it so you can't find it:P) where you have a membership that you pay for to hook up with people for all different kinds of sexual... well you know. Funny how I heard it had 19 million members.
Arigato 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2006 I have been seeing those ads everywhere on the internet lately. My concern is the audience that are exposed to them. I noticed that a lot of game sites that display those type of ads and I'm guessing there are many children viewing them. Who knows how these things will affect children in the future.
