* Tabbed browsing, a faster alternative to multi-window browsing. o When you open a link in a new tab, you can continue reading or clicking links in the original tab while the linked page loads.
o Unlike new browser windows, new tabs open instantly.
o You can quickly open a link in a new tab by Ctrl+clicking or middle-clicking the link.
o You can "undo" accidentally closing a tab.
* Control. Firefox blocks unrequested pop-ups and never allows web pages to create hard-to-close full-screen windows. Firefox gives you options to prevent web sites from resizing and focusing windows.
* Security. Malicious web sites can never install spyware without your permission. *BLEEP* in peace.
* Privacy. Everything you might want to clear in order to cover your tracks -- cookies, cache, download history, history -- is in one place in Options. Firefox even provides a "Clear All" button to clear all of this information quickly.
* Extensibility. The Pornzilla bookmarklets and extensions can improve your porn surfing experience far beyond what any browser vendor would dare.
* New windows open quickly.
* When you download a file and Firefox asks you to select a download filename and location, it starts downloading the file while it waits for your response.
* You can save video clips quickly by Alt+clicking the (thumbnail) link to the video clip. If you save video clips this way, Firefox won't even prompt you for a filename (unless you select "Ask me where to save every file" in the "Downloads" section of Firefox's Options).
* You can control whether videos are displayed in the browser window or saved in the "Downloads" section of Firefox's options.
* File > Save As... works for movies being displayed by the Quicktime plug-in.
* All visited URLs are shown in location bar autocomplete, so you can quickly see which galleries and which images you've seen within a given site.
* While using Firefox, you won't accidentally set a porn image as your desktop wallpaper. (Firefox has a "set as wallpaper" feature, but it asks whether you want the image tiled or stretched, and the dialog has a "Cancel" button.)
* Firefox has an image-rendering library called "libpr0n" and a cute, unofficial mascot named Firefox-ko. Firefox grew out the Mozilla Suite, whose codename is "Seamonkey" (see monkey). One of Mozilla's slogans is "free the lizard".

Ok, so if you haven’t already come to the conclusion that FireFox is the best browser, here’s another reason to switch from that security hole riddled flimsly-*bottom* Internet Explorer that you’ve been using,

Internet explorer 7 is bloatware and slows not only browsing the web - but opening directories on a drive is slowit takes so long to figure out IE's options that after 1/2 an hour you lose the will to live. Theyve dumbed it down so much and hidden the proper functionality beneath a thick layer of BS

Firefox is created by people with brains, IE is created by people with none, Interesting to note that Microsoft addressed a DRM issue quicker than they handled a security issue in their products, firefox runs Runs on Linux, Windows and OpenBSD, I downright HATE what M$ have done to the computer industry.

I use FireFox2 primarily, though I downloaded Opera yesterday and I might end up using it more often. I have IE7 though I don't like it since it's not entirely standards compliant, at least 7 does transparent PNG images.

Definitely Firefox. Reasons?

Firefox - Never had 1 error in my entire year using it

Internet Explorer - If you want an error every day, I recommend Internet Explorer. If you want to get really upset, Internet Explorer.

And the bonus is tabbed browsing with Internet Explorer stole from Firefox... Firefox has just 2 big versions out and it's better than Internet Explorer with about 7. Am I right with 7?

And another bonus is all the addons! :) I love using the themes and stuff. It even has it's own FTP Server.

All in all I give Internet Explorer a 4. And Firefox a 9.

Well done to Mozilla!!!

And I really dont know about other's... I've never used Opera ect but i think I should try one out. Is opera free? And may I ask what is Crazy Browser? LOL

I've used FireFox for a while now and I would agree that it's the best. IE isn't standards compliant, which is incredibly annoying, especially since so many people use it. I downloaded Opera pretty recently, maybe it's better, I haven't decided yet, it is pretty good.

I have FF2 on my laptop, FF1 on my desktop (just haven't gotten around to getting 2 downloaded yet), as well as IE 7 on both. I prefer FF for somethings, IE for others; just depends on the website.

FireFox is the best. You can change themes, get toolbars and all different add-ons. Give this open-source program a shot. higher speed and everything. better than internet exploDer and Netscape Navigateintotrouble.

I use Internet Explorer 7.0! With Windows Vista Home Premium OS! IE7 has too much security you have to accept Active X's alot of the time! Which is really annoying and IE7 you get alot of crashes because there are quite a few bugs need to be solved. Also most sites I use now don't support IE7 so I have to use FireFox to browse there site etc.. But FireFox I hate the plugins..Regards,Andy

Well, first I started out with Netscape and that was when i first started and i was using like Windows 98 or something, then I got to use some IE, and I was like ohhh boy...then after a couple years of that. I tryed some experimenting, tryed some Firefox and that was the *poop*, I used that but then my father was like, I dont like it, its not IE! So I'm like damn....so I tryed Opera..now thats my favorite one of all, even though It has weird widgets then add-ons, but still my favorite so I just stayed with that....and I guess I really didnt need to tell the story, just say Opera, but know what...I'm to lazy to delete it all so bummer

PRobably say that I rotate between IE and Netscape for various reasons, esp when working on pages, code and so forth. Considering some WYSIWYG programs messes up things at time (Dreamweaver is one of em leaving varied MM sigs).

Firefox for me! It's simply the best - Most stable, and easy to use browser. Not to mention the endless possibilities of ADDONS, THEMES and PLUGINS!And the security isn't any worse!Still stuck with IE? Get FIREFOX!! :)
