This is my latest signature, and so far the best I have ever designed.

The basis of a good sig is there, but it does need more as you have mentioned.

- A border is a must
- The large white area needs some type of background
- For text you could try looking at places like dafont

I suggest you look at the many tutorials in the Tutorial Forum, you will find many techniques there to help you improve your sig making.

I won't rate your sig because it sounds like you haven't finished it as yet.
