Chez 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2006 At the request of an employer, I was sent to research this virus. Lo and behold, google helped alot. But from what i found, it's a year old. It took it's effect back in 2005, and fron what I read, was pretty much squashed from all the publicity it got. Can anyone comment on this? Is it still around? My employer won't go online due to irrational fears, until I tell him otherwise.
serverph 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2006 search NYXEM here in Xisto, it's basically the same. these worms come in variants and different names all the time (blame the antivirus software companies ). the important thing is to have an updated antivirus running in your system, tell your boss. nothing to fear online if one learns to be careful and prepared to combat virii/worms as they come, and wary in opening attachments coming from anybody. ;)nyxem activates on a monthly basis (every third of the month) until cleaned. keysmaker 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2006 HI! i have a question: symantec already have the protection for Kama Sutra virus? i update daily my virus defs, but im not sure if NAV protects me from Kama sutras. Thanks,Felipe
Inspiron 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2006 Since the thread starter stated that the virus happened 1 year ago, Symantec and other anti-virus companies should have patched and added definations to their products by now. So you need not worry much. All you need to do is just continue updating your anti-virus software. That should be sure that your computer is protected from most viruses. And anyone who is opening porno emails should just expect malware to be in it.
