leiaah 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2005 Very interesting! There's a similar site that offers the same service. The site is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and it works like gahooyoogle! (I like saying that ). Well, frames are clearly alive and kicking in sites like these. sportytalk 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2005 the gahooyoogle website looks cool. There are many sites which search multiple search engines, such as dogpile etc and the site mentioned below. Will stick to the google.com website though, for simplicity

Plenoptic 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 That's pretty cool. I still prefer google but I guess using 2 search engines wouldn't be so bad when you are looking for stuff because you have more of a variety and more results so you can find what you want faster. I might have to use that for school and stuff. Nice find.
Arigato 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 I used to use these multi-search engines but what I found is that alot of results are the same and it takes more time to actually find something that you are looking for because you are looking over everything twice. It is easier to just use a single search engine and if you run through a few page of results without getting what you want just switch to another search engine. I usually swich from google to msn search because they have somewhat different results while google and yahoo have very similar results.

Dragonfly 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2005 First of all, thanks for the link. This site seems very interesting. And man I envy their google pagerank too. Now let's get to the point. I like the idea. I've been using dogpile which index pages as they are found on the major search engines and that is interesting too. This site is not bad, the only problem is that for small screen resolution that is to say anything less than and equal to 1024x768 pixels screen resolution will not display the results properly. I too am using 1024x768 pixels screen resolution and I can't see the results fully. I need to scroll horizontally which is very incovenient for it caused multiple search.. first search in the web and search again in the screen. Those who use screen resolution greater than 1024x768 pixels may make use of this service. However, I will just check the site from time to time.
CRABBATTLEOLIOLIOOOO 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2005 Pretty cool! I still like Google better, though. I don't need to compare. :DThe look of Google is a lot better and the filtering of sites that don't match is better too. Plus, I think Google is faster. AND more popular.Alltogether, Google is a way better site than Yahoo will ever be in my opinion.
