BuffaloHelp 24 Report post Posted October 7, 2005 If you provide any means of obtaining illegal materials via Xisto's service--i.e. you posted a URL link on Xisto's hosting webpage and that link is either direct download link or linking to another site to download--then yes, you are breaking Xisto's TOS. BuffaloHelp 24 Report post Posted October 7, 2005 No, it's not. It's ensuring that every member abides under the TOS so that one member's misbehavior does not terminate the entire hosting server. When a member signed up for free web hosting, each agreed to the terms so that 1) your hosting is uninterrupted 2) your unforeseen violation does not interrupt the entire hosting service. If you are compelled to place a URL link on your website that is perfectly fine, as long as you are not utilizing Xisto's resource(s)--that includes using Xisto's hosting space or using Xisto to redirect. What IS unfair is when a single member breaks this rule and the provider of all our free web service decides to terminate the entire hosting space to Xisto due to breach of contract. This will mean some 250+ members will be out of free web hosting, instantly.
