chinfo 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2004 OS X is really great! I use it to do my graphics work, which I would never trust to any Windows-running machine.

pr3dr49 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2004 You can only consider MacOS if you have a Mac. It does not run on PCs.When it comes to PCs, I stick to Linux or BSD systems. There are many flavours to chose from:- http://www.slackware.com/ https://www.suse.com/ http://www.debian.org/ http://www.openbsd.org/ https://www.freebsd.org/ http://www.netbsd.org/ you don't use some particular app like AutoCAD on daily bases, it is really better. It is safer, more stable, and quite fast even on old computers. gotenx 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 The apple computers are good but not the OS... If a PPC could run windows 2000 pro, that would be the best computer ever

pr3dr49 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 The apple computers are good but not the OS... If a PPC could run windows 2000 pro, that would be the best computer everThis is silly. The new Mac OS is excellent, unix-based system. It is light years ahead of Windows. But you have to have a Mac to run it.
chinfo 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Yes, definitely agree with that. No Windows version can ever compare to a Mac OS.Why do you think professional designers prefer it?
