Domain Name Issues http:// doesnt work, www. does

I recently purchased my domain from Yahoo domains, and pointed all the proper nameservers-

As you can see, visiting http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ - sends you to my site. However http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ sends you somewhere else-

Anyone know the cause for this?

P.S. I posted up in the Hosted section, because I thought I'd be able to be helped by other hosted members- If i'm wrong, please move this around Mods.

well dont know why exactly this is happening...but is your website having a banner on the top saying padas thoughts...if I am right then I've the solution to your problem....but I really dont have any idea in my life why exactly this is happening.<< removed >>May be you'll need to get in touch with yahoo for this and ask them why exactly this is happening (hoping that I am correct with the solution)

nope the problem you should be having would be why you still can use that domain since it has been used already that is the question.but other then that regaurdless if the www is in or not it would still go to the same website.but again this is interesting though.

I've discovered that the http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ points to Florisjuh's website here at Xisto...

 

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ IS my site. I'm feeling it's a 'A' Name and CName domain registration issue. I'll contact Yahoo, but I have a feeling that that's not going to get me very far within the next couple days.

I think the Xisto nameservers are probably misconfigured. There might be two entries in their lists, one for thablkpanda.com, and another for http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. The one without the www is pointing to florisjuh. Just a guess!

Ya I fixed the problem - moved to computhinghost 14.95 a year = Just under package 2 here and i have all the rights to everything, which is what I really need.. Paid hosting owns! OpaQue owns! The world Owns!!! (Ok not the WHOLE world)Panda
