Parents .... It Never Gets Any Easier....

Recommended Posts

how many hours can you spend in the company of your parents without wanting to cheerfully jump in front of a high speed vehicle?....

I've just said a merry "cheerio" to my lovely parents after they came for a 5 day visit .... what a god awful nightmare .... not their fault I hasten to add .... it's just that their "little ways" somehow manage to get under my skin and make me want to "rip it off"!! ....oh the relief of saying "Goodbye" and knowing that I don't have to see them again for 5 months (the joy of the dreaded xmas season!) ....

.... although I speak on the phone with them every other day and I cope fine with that .... still, am I evil personified? .... I love them dearly .... over the phone .... many miles away .... many, many miles away ....

my son probably feels exactly the same way about me ..... ah, the circle of life ....

After 5 straight days it really makes me want to crawl under my blanket and cry. Too many little things that bother me about my parents. I live with them, but I'm talking about five solid full-interaction days. It's just that they're so nitpicky and refuse to welcome any odd changes.

I don't really get this way with my parents, but I do get this way when my mom's sister and kids come around. I have my words with them to so I really don't think you're a 'evil personified' for thinking that. I don't know, maybe when it's my time to leave this house that I might feel the same aswell. I know that I want to get away only for the sole purpose of getting away from my aunt and her kids.

CHildren and parents, neverending story. You must have strong nerves to cope woth them so long. Well specialist in this field say that young ones and elders mustn't live under same roof. Cause when you get older and mature you have your own personality and you choose partner that is match for you. So nobody is brainwashing you or your partner. Parents are fond to do some brainwashing, depends on a person again, some do, some don't. But for safety reason is better to be on your own, to make progress on yourself, rather then downgrading from brainwash.

Yeah, they might annoy us once in awhile but we all know that deep down we love them a lot and wouldn't want to lose them. Unless of course your evil and hate the world and everyone on it and want them all dead. Than you wouldn't. But I doubt any of us are like this so we all love them deep down inside.

Parents can be a pain in the butt sometimes, I truly know that for sure. But eventually, most of us will grow up to be similar to our parents since they are, and have been our closest role models. The thing we need to do is to be wise. To do this, we need to pay attention to their mistakes in parential skills, and make sure we don't repeat history if, or when we have kids. Life is full of lessons, and even the bad ones can be valuable. It is important to always keep an open mind in all matters, and try to understand everyone's points of views around you, even if you don't agree with them. Keep an open mind and learn from them. Everyone can teach us something valuable that we can apply to our lives, but being shallow and close-minded will not allow us to grow or to be better humans. Keep cool, think clear, and don't make decisions when you get mad. You need to be calm to make desicions. That's just my two cents, so I hope it helps out all the readers. Life is a game, but it's also a lesson. Peace!
