clagnol 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2005 I was instant messaged by a guy looking for moderators for his discussion board. I asked him why he didn't ask for help on the Xisto fora, and he said that it was considered spamming to do so.My suggestion is to create a subforum, wherever appropriate, for people to ask for help with internet-related projects, or to offer their services. A content-provider might seek a web designer or a PHP programmer to help build a website. This could be extended to allow other non-computer-related "help wanted" relationships, like a guitarist searching for a drummer. Or even material transactions, like a person looking for used computer hardware. There is a definite need for this kind of forum. Plus, the moderators won't have to spend as much time deleting these posts when they appear in irrelevent fora.
BuffaloHelp 24 Report post Posted July 10, 2005 We have a posted topic regarding Xisto's IRC chat channel. Perhaps we should start from there. If the demand is higher and cannot be ignored, I'm sure administrators will consider building a separated interest section.
