ameribass 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2005 Hey. I don't have the fourth gen iPod but I do have the third and the same applies for this ipod too. Before iTunes 4.9 came out, the version the my ipod was at was 2.3. After iTunes 4.9 was released, the apple website claimed that a new firmware update was available to download and so I did. After installing it, I did not notice any changes and the firmware is still version 2.3. I don't know, maybe there are some minor changes, but I think that it's just there to make it seem like apple is doing something. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
iGuest 3 Report post Posted September 17, 2009 Ipod in recovery mode after failed attempt to upgrade to 3.1Ipod Software 3.1I attempted to update my Itouch to version 3.1. And it show a error message, now I cannot use my ipod (it's in recovery mode) and I really would not want to lose my music (more than 4000 files) is there a way to roll back?
