mahesh2k 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2005 News site with no reporters and editors?.Here situation is diffrent,News is edited and moderated by the trusted members.Every registered member is something of an editor.A registered user can post a story,comment on stories,and even vote for stories.and all you have to do join the community is register on the site.You can moderate Post by looking for "Moderate Submissions"link on the right after signing in.From here you an read stories and rate them.Process of Moderation ensures that K5's content is always gets to read things they find interesting.Only pornography and extremely materials are not allowed.Ye it is another slashdot .Only diffrence lies in fact that k5 looks a lot better,easy to navigate.K5 community expected to be witty and intelligent at the same time and readers are encouraged to think.As the site clearly says"What we need is freedom and Less "Freedumb".K5's more aesthetic and easily navigable site layout makes it more pleasurable to surf as compared to slashdot.Topics are neatly and convienent arranged along the top of the page,and offer a wide range of interesting reading materials from "Technology to Politics" and "fiction".This site also has diaris which could be called as member blogs,personal section.You can post whatever you want .No other member can post articles in your blog.They can only comment .all the members have the teeth and they bite hard if your post not able to make upto thier expectations.So make sure your diary entries are well thought out and factualy correct.Kuro5hin has the potential of becoming a regularly visited bookmark.It can provide you with knowledge that you never knew you might need.act as an outlet for your thoughts.and provide you all the reading entertainment in the course of regular day.So my question for you is to find simmilar community like kuro5hin.Anyway You can access Kuro5hin at http://www.kuro5hin.org/ Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
