I'm just curious Can this server support ASP also?And, since i'm a beginner to JSP, can you recommend a website that teaches a newbie like me in JSP programming and also, Python programming? nonon 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2005 Well as you already know no ASP is allowed, unfornatelly JSP is hard to find around here(aldo they do have a Tomcat server running with JSP support), since you need to be a very special supermember or something in order to OpaQue get you some permissions to do so...I must say that jsp is far better and more powerfull than ASP or PHP but is still very hard to find any free hosting sites with JSP support...Feel free to continue with PHP which is also a very nice tool as you already know :lol:Regardsnonon Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Then they switched to PHP, and everything was fast! 145493[/snapback] What i think, ASP, JSP and PHP almost same if you have a small application to develop where you have to perform only some database updation, session tracking etc. All above 3 will work 100% fine for small applications, you can use anyone. But if you have a very big enterprise application to develop then you can compare which technology is best. And for big enterprise application, i think JSP is better. You can play with it.No need to goto another host. Now you can buy JSP hosting very cheaply at Xisto - Web Hosting with mycents. Coming to that eatj, the trial account has many limitaions. You'll have to restart the tomcat every 6 hours, you can upload only war files, if you are inactive for 15 days they will delete your account and so...on.
