Can someone tell me what is PHPNuke?I've seen this term alot of time and don't know what is it all about...The only thing I know is, it is got to go with PHP...So does it mean PHPNuke is to destroy a site using a "NUKE" done by PHP ?

PHP-Nuke is a Content Management System and is basically a fully pre-coded community-website. cPanel currently offers PHP-Nuke version 7.6, wich contains:

Description: PHP-Nuke is a Web Portal System, storytelling software, News system, online community or whatever you want to call it. The goal of PHP-Nuke is to have an automated web site to distribute news and articles with users system. Each user can submit comments to discuss the articles, just similar to Slashdot and many others. Main features include: web based admin, surveys, top page, access stats page with counter, user customizable box, themes manager for registered users, friendly administration GUI with graphic topic manager, option to edit or delete stories, option to delete comments, moderation system, Referers page to know who link us, sections manager, customizable HTML blocks, user and authors edit, an integrated Banners Ads system, search engine, backend/headlines generation (RSS/RDF format), and many, many more friendly functions. PHP-Nuke is written 100% in PHP and requires Apache Web server, PHP and a SQL (MySQL, MySQL4, msSQL, PostgreSQL, Access, ODBC, DB2, Oracle and SQLite). Support for 33 languages, Yahoo like search engine, Comments option in Polls, lot of themes, Ephemerids manager, File Manager, Headlines, download manager, faq manager, advanced blocks systems, reviews system, newsletter, categorized articles, multilanguage content management, phpBB Forums included and a lot more.

As for the logo, check what your current theme is (admin panel/configuration/theme[dropdownbox])

Then, when you know what theme, go to your file manager and go to phpnuke(root dir)/themes/current_theme/images/logo.gif then rename your own new logo to logo.gif aswell and upload it (confirm overwriting) then reload your phpnuke page and you should see the change

Chrisville, even the most basic free package that Xisto currently offers has more space then you require for the PHP-Nuke CMS, just go to your fantastico, select PHP-Nuke, there, it asks you to input a directory name for your PHP-Nuke (it is not http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ by default)

REMEMBER: it must be in a top-level directory, meaning it must be http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. Then click install and it should work fine

to go to your website you can use:

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

OR

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Hope this helps you guys
