iGuest 3 Report post Posted January 18, 2005 Can MS Access interface with mySQL? Does anyone know how to set it up? Is it even a good idea to?
iGuest 3 Report post Posted January 19, 2005 You could make a script that takes data from one db and xfers it to another. But thats a waste of time, unless ur exfering from one site to another via a direct connection. Or you could make a page that takes data from both db. But thats useless as well because mysql is much better and secure than MS access. Both of those are a bad idea cause the sequrity would be corupted
iGuest 3 Report post Posted January 20, 2005 ok, thanks for the info. I know my way around Access and thought I could use a quick script to mate it with SQL...guess I'll just have to learn mySQL
iGuest 3 Report post Posted January 20, 2005 I think you can import Excel data into MySQL tho. But MySQL I prefer as most servers has MySQL but MS Access only runs on Windows servers.
