Where and How to put tiny logo in the Address Bar

Recommended Posts

 I can get it to work where I have the hosting but how do you get it to work for a site which has domain fowarding setup to it being hosted elsewhere?

eg If I have a website&hosting at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/,'>http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/, how can I get another website eg http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ to have it's own logo/favicon..

 I've tried this>.>>

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.123example.co.uk/;

 ...But it doesn't work.

 I can get it all to work on my local laptop but not on the internet...

 So...Somewhat confused.  Any help would be appreciated.

What I'm talking about is a favicon. I've never really used them, but you can find out more at http://www.favicon.com/
Download a free Icon program and create a 16x16 pixel icon and name it favicon.ico

Up load it to the same directory as your index.htm file and it should show up. If not you might have to put the following in the head section of your index.htm file.

<link rel="icon" href="favicon.ico">

thanks for the link.
but i find that it doesnt work. I dont know what the problem is, kindly help me with this.
