iGuest 3 Report post Posted January 7, 2005 Hey Mike - you only listed 10. I think there is about 28 distro's.ummm actualy theres 383 distro's... heh (not counting home made ones) Hmm - I think you are nitpicking now. Surely - if there''s that many distro's the difference between many of them must be neglible. It would be the same as calling every hardware vendor-branded windows version, an individual windows version.
iGuest 3 Report post Posted January 7, 2005 I voted for REDHAT. but suse is a good on also.

iGuest 3 Report post Posted January 8, 2005 Hey hey man. I'm not exactly an enemy of linux - remember! But as I don't have much choice, I'm using windows and thereforeI have to point out that you overemphasize the instability of windows. It has a lot to do with whoom is using it. It is true that w98 was a nightmare, but w2k was excellent. Xp is not quite as good. But hey- you make a distro with true root access (not just as a folder) and I'll be over it like a speeding bullet.

You hit the bullet on the head that time sandman, but i would still be more in favor of linux due to the open source nature and phiosophy of the OS
