Linux Distro

Hey, Linux users, whats your favorite linux distribution, i've listed them in a poll hereI dont have a favorite yet, i've only tried SuSE.Sorry if a distro isnt listed on the polls, i'm at the maximum.Enjoy

hi,i am using linux since last 4 yeasri have used redhat, mandrake, suse, corel,fedora(thats by redhat though)and small once like knoppics n all.FEDORA 3 rockswell suse9.1 is nice and easy i am waiting for suse 9.2till then i love FEDORA 3 :D

Damn. :roll: I didn't see that. But maybe you could have grouped them
in 3s. Most of those I have tried is not in the list. :D

Hey Mike - you only listed 10. I think there is about 28 distro's.

ummm actualy theres 383 distro's... heh :D (not counting home made ones)

Hmm - I think you are nitpicking now. Surely - if there''s that many
distro's the difference between many of them must be neglible. It would
be the same as calling every hardware vendor-branded windows version,
an individual windows version. :wink:

well i counted, microsoft has almost 30 differnt versions of there unstable oporateing system windows

Hey hey man. I'm not exactly an enemy of linux - remember!But as I don't have much choice, I'm using windows and thereforeI have to point out that you overemphasize the instability of windows.It has a lot to do with whoom is using it. It is true that w98 was a nightmare, but w2k was excellent. Xp is not quite as good. But hey- you make a distro with true root access (not just as a folder) and I'll be over it like a speeding bullet.

i would vote but i just cant install them i have downloaded red hat linux and suse 9 but when i write the iso to cd and boot it i get an error on red hat at 13% and i get and error on suse at something like 10% so i was wondering can anyone help?

I have to point out that you overemphasize the instability of windows.It has a lot to do with whoom is using it.


You hit the bullet on the head that time sandman, but i would still be more in favor of linux due to the open source nature and phiosophy of the OS :D
